Piano and singing classes in Western Music in classical and contemporary styles offered in a heritage home in Benson Town, with personalised individual training customised to suit the pace of each student.

The instructor has over twenty years of teaching experience both privately and in institutions incorporating the Montessori system of Education. She is a Lyric Soprano trained in the Bel Canto technique and has performed both in India and Sweden, with performances including Opera, Show Tunes and other Classical and Contemporary styles.

The students learn on a genuine German Upright Grand Piano according to the John Thompson's syllabus of grades supplemented by exercises for strength and virtuosity. The course also includes theory classes to enable the student to read and write music. As the student progresses, additional music from popular music, music theatre and Disney films will be introduced.

Detailed written feedback will be provided for every class as a record of progress and reference during practice.

Including classical and contemporary songs, solos, and duets, the student will begin learning to sing in Italian as well as in English to develop ease in technique. The course includes theory classes to be able to sing from sheet music, basic piano skills, and vocal exercises for technique and competence.

Schedule

Classes are held once a week. The first three classes are of half hour duration for the first three weeks of the month. The fourth class is a recital class held on the fourth Sunday of each month where each student will perform for an audience.

If a class is cancelled by the teacher, it will be made up. However, if the student misses a class or classes, those classes will be forfeited.

Registration: ₹ 5000
Weekday classes: ₹ 5000 per month
Weekend classes: ₹ 6000 per month
Monthly fees need to be paid in advance, at the beginning of each month
